ECOtanka ScrewTOP Lid Advantages

The screwTOP lid was designed so you could get a good flow of liquid fast, which was similar to a soda bottle.  Also, we made the thread size to a common market size so other products can connect to this lid to turn the bottle into a multifunctional bottle.  The lid is simple to fit and if fitted correctly it will not leak.

Lid Specifications

The ECOtanka ScrewTOP Lid is made from PP#5 (Polypropylene) and is strong, tough, also has a high resistance to heat. 

The ScrewTOP lid has 4 parts that are made from 2 different materials as follows:
   - The main body and cap are made from PP#5 (Polypropylene) a special and expensive type which makes the lid 20x stronger.  Origin: Japan or Singapore.
   - The silicone seal for the cap and the main body is of high-quality food-grade silicone. Origin: Germany.

 This lid is BPA, BPS, BPF FREE, also free from Antimony (sb), DEHA, DEHP & Phthalate.

The ECOtanka sports Lid is made from a few different materials that are sourced all over the world and imported into China.

ECOtanka Adaptor Lid

The ECOtanka Adaptor Lid is a plastic lid made from PP#5 which is considered to be one of the safest plastics for food.  This lid is BPA FREE, it is also BPS & BPF FREE. ( The industry removed BPA from polycarbonate plastics and changed to BPS or BPF which is in fact just as bad as BPA!)

This lid can fit almost all bottles except the megaTANKA bottle but is best suited for the teeny or miniTANKA bottles for Kids.  The Adaptor is only a two-piece lid that can fit a number of teet products on the market.  At this stage, we don't supply the teet with this lid.

Baby teet

The Adaptor lid can fit most standard baby teets on the market, giving you the choice to buy the right type and the right brand you prefer for your baby.

Lid Specifications

The PP#5 raw material is made in Taiwan and our lid is formed in China.
The adaptor lid also contains a silicone seal to seal the lid to the bottle.  This silicone raw material is made in Germany and imported into China to be formed.

ECOtanka thermoTANKA 800ml Double Wall Vacuum Bottle

The thermoTANKA 800ml bottle is a slightly wider design measuring approximately 238mm from the bottom to the top of the bottle only.  This bottle is perfect for an everyday drink bottle providing a volume of 800mls (three regular sized glasses), keeping your drink cold or hot longer.   

ECOtanka thermoTANKA gives you a Pure Clean Fresh drink every single time.

The vacuum properties of the thermoTANKA can keep your drink hot form 7.5-10+ hours, cold for 7-8+ hours and ICE for up to 65 hours depending on lid type.

The thermoTANKA 350ml bottle is designed for kiddies, or for adults who want a bottle which will fit into a small bag or handbag. It holds a volume of 350ml (one large glass) and ideal for keeping your milk cold well on the go, measuring approximately 152mm from the bottom to the top of the stainless steel area.  The vacuum properties of the thermoTANKA can keep your drink hot for 6+ hours and cold for 12+ hours.

Thank you for purchasing a quality ECOtanka Drink Bottle.  This product is of solid stainless steel and with proper treatment and care, will provide you with a hygienically clean and ecologically friendly drink bottle to use for many years to come.

your safety assurance:

All ECOtanka brand bottles are made from 18/8, 304 Food Grade Stainless Steel.  ECOtanka lids are made from polypropylene #5 and/or 18/8, 304 Food Grade Stainless Steel.  All material parts are independently tested and guaranteed to be 100% food safe, non-toxic and non-leaching.

before use

It is recommended to thoroughly wash your bottle and lid in hot mild soapy water, rinse well and dry before use.

Make sure all silicone seal(s) have been fitted correctly to your lid before use to avoid leaking.  

For all thermoTANKA (vacuum) bottles, it is recommended to preheat your bottle before filling with your beverage for better heat retention.  Fill the bottle with hot water, stand for 3-5 minutes, remove water and fill. 

After each use wash your bottle in warm water and give a mild scrub with a bottle brush cleaner.  

NOTE: When cleaning your bottle or lid, we recommend not to submerge or soak your bottle or lid in water.  We recommend a simple quick hand wash and rinse, then dry.  

cleaning and care

Use white distilled vinegar for cleaning:  You can use household white distilled vinegar to help remove any stains or discolouration on the inside of your bottle. We recommend putting ½ cup of vinegar in your bottle, gently swirling the vinegar around to wash any affected areas and let sit for 5 - 15 minutes.  Rinse thoroughly with warm water and repeat if necessary.

Use baking soda for cleaning: For those stubborn spots inside your bottle, mix 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda with a small amount of warm water to form a scrubbing paste.  Dip the bristles of your bottle brush in the paste and work the paste into the affected area on the inside of your bottle.  Repeat as necessary until stain disappears.

If you have been using your ECOtanka bottle for alkaline water and there is a build-up of white calcium deposit, it may be cleaned with citric acid from the baking section of your local supermarket.  Citric acid is the acid from citrus fruits.

If your bottle gets a metallic taste, add 1 tsp of baking soda and warm water to help remove any taste or odour, cleanse and refresh your bottle. 

To help protect and extend the life of bamboo parts fitted to lids or bottles, it is recommended to treat with mineral oil or beeswax with mineral oil regularly.

This product is supplied as a drink bottle only and is not intended for any other use. Please use this product as you would responsibly use a drink bottle and for safe consumption item only.

Don’t put thermoTANKA (vacuum) bottles in a dishwasher.  The dishwasher could affect the insulation property of your bottle.
Don’t put painted bottles in a dishwasher.  The dishwasher could remove the paint/logo from your bottle.
Don’t put your bottle in the freezer, instead add ice cubes to your drink.
Don’t put your bottle in a microwave.
Don’t overfill your thermoTANKA (vacuum) bottle with hot water.
Don’t put hot water in a single-wall bottle unless you have the bottle protected with a kooler cover.  Single-wall bottles are not designed for hot liquids.  

The better care you take of your bottle and lid the longer it will last.

ECOtanka megaTANKA 2000ml Single Wall Bottle

megaTANKA 2L is ideal for the whole family to top up from on a day trip or when out camping, or use it to store milk or beer, or brew beer! :-)  The 2L bottle gives you a days supply of liquid that can stay clean and fresh throughout the day.   This holds a volume of 2 litres (8 standard size glasses), are ultra light and measure approximately 255mm from the bottom to the top of the stainless steel area. 

megaTANKAs have their own poly spout lid and full stainless steel lid, they are the only bottle that does not fit the standard ECOtanka lid range.  megaTANKA KOOLER covers are also available, please see below.

2L MEGA PP and 2L MEGA Stainless Steel Lid Options

The 2L MEGA PP lid is a big lid that has been well designed for this bottle size.  The lid has a good grip all the way around the lid so you can get it tight to make sure it is sealed.  The spout has been designed so you can pour or drink directly from the bottle and the spout stopper/cover has a second seal that is easy to click lock so the spout will not leak.  Also, the cover folds completely back which makes drinking directly from the bottle easier.

The 2L MEGA Stainless Steel lid is an alternative to the 2L MEGA PP lid.  This lid is a 100% pure stainless steel that fits over the outer rim of the bottle along with a wide pure stainless steel handle for easy holding.

trekkaTANKA bottle holds a volume of 1 litre (4 standard size glasses), are ultra light and measure approximately 236mm from the bottom to the top of the stainless steel area.  It provides a little more volume than a regular bottle, but without the extra bulk.   trekkaTANKA is suitable for half day trips such as a walk in the park, out and about doing jobs to keep you hydrated throughout the day.
